SPICE MUSIC FESTIVAL began its journey in August 2019 at the Port of Burgas Passenger Terminal as a major event dedicated to the pop and rap hits of the 1990s.
The festival’s inaugural edition in 2019 brought together legendary acts such as East 17, 2 Unlimited, Dr. Alban, Snap!, Haddaway, La Bouche and Rednex.
Despite the challenges faced by live events worldwide between 2020 and 2022, the festival continued to take place annually on the first weekend of August. Its stage welcomed international stars and established artists such as Gipsy Kings, Coolio, Corona, C-Block, Nana and many others.
To celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2023, the organisers conducted a fan poll to bring back the most beloved artists. SNAP!, C-Block and NANA returned to the stage, joined by Bulgarian hip-hop classics Gumeni Glavi.
In 2024–2025, the festival gradually began to expand its musical scope. Alongside its signature 1990s sound, the programme introduced hits from the early 2000s and more contemporary electronic club music.
On 7 and 8 August 2026, the next edition of SPICE MUSIC FESTIVAL will take place at the Port of Burgas Passenger Terminal. Major highlights of the line-up include Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi, the artist behind the global hit “Despacito”; Thomas Anders of Modern Talking; Jenny Berggren of Ace of Base; and Ukrainian Eurovision winner Ruslana.
