On 30 September 2026, Bulgaria will host the Annual Stakeholders Conference of the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea (CMA) — a key forum for cooperation, sustainable development and the promotion of the blue economy in the Black Sea region. The event will take place at the International Congress Centre Burgas.
The conference will bring together representatives of European and national institutions, academia, businesses, international organisations and investors, providing an opportunity to exchange experience, share best practices and explore innovative solutions for the future of the Black Sea.
Key topics will include the protection of the marine and coastal environment, the development of the blue economy, scientific research, innovation and digitalisation, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, maritime and coastal tourism, maritime spatial planning, and opportunities for investment and funding for projects of regional significance.
As part of the forum, the Black Sea Project Awards 2026 will also be presented, recognising successful projects that contribute to achieving the objectives of the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea.
The conference will also feature a poster exhibition, offering an opportunity to showcase innovative initiatives, projects and best practices from across the Black Sea region.
The event will provide another opportunity to strengthen dialogue and partnerships among key stakeholders and promote a more sustainable, innovative and interconnected future for the Black Sea.
