On March 19, 2025 a public information event will be held at the International Congress Center Burgas to officially launch the "From East 2 West Connections" project.

The initiative is co-financed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport. Its main goal is to significantly improve rail accessibility to the Port of Burgas.
