WHO CREATES? - YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL

The project showcases young artists aged 10 to 25 and is organized by the YOUNIVERSE Foundation, founded by Natalie Wong, in partnership with FAR-1946 Community Centre, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary, and with the support of Burgas Municipality.

The festival’s main objective is to demonstrate how combining traditional filmmaking with artificial intelligence can inspire young people to refine and develop their ideas in the field of cinema.

WHO CREATES? – Youth Film Festival is a major international event featuring participants from the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia and other countries.

The program is divided into two main categories: Classic Production (films created without the use of AI) and AI Production (creative works produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence). It includes:

  • Film screenings in the Classic Production category.

  • A special Featured AI Cinema Showcase, presenting works by some of the world’s leading and award-winning AI filmmakers from Brazil, China and the United States, followed by a discussion among participants exploring the question: Who creates?

  • Masterclasses led by film professionals and AI creators.

  • Screenings of award-winning films in the Animation and Student Film categories.

  • Screenings of award-winning films in the AI Production category.

  • An official awards ceremony celebrating the festival winners, featuring a screening of the grand-prize-winning film, which will receive the YOUNIVERSE Foundation’s special award.

Following discussions and an analysis of the films presented at the festival, YOUNIVERSE will compile a Global Research Report summarising the findings and achievements of the young creatives.
