International Congress Center Burgas hosted the Annual Conference of the Association for Innovation, Business Services and Technologies (AIBEST), which until recently was called the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association. The forum was opened by Mr. Iliya Krastev - Chairman of the Board of the branch organization, and the mayor of the city Dimitar Nikolov. The annual conference of AIBEST is the most important event for the knowledge industry in Bulgaria. The conference is a platform that brings together the leaders in the sector for a strategic and in-depth discussion on the development of the sector in Bulgaria.

More than 200 delegates took part in the conference. Its program included an analysis of the high value-added business services sector and a forecast of the impact of the global pandemic on it in 2020.

The event was attended by representatives of the largest technology companies in Bulgaria, local authorities and the government. They discussed the factors and measures that need to be taken at local and national level to attract new investments and to create a favorable business environment for the development of the sector.

The annual AIBEST awards were also presented during the forum. Traditionally, they distinguish the best performing companies in the country, good practices in the sector, the proactivity of local authorities and the relationships between participants in the entire business ecosystem, which contribute to its development.
