Burgas Marine Station will become a stage for Bulgarian cuisine, folklore and traditions, with free admission for all visitors. The event will take place on 5 September, starting at 17:30.
The festival will bring together the distinctive flavours of different regions of Bulgaria, traditional recipes, local products, Bulgarian customs and folklore. Its aim is to showcase Bulgaria’s culinary heritage in an engaging and appealing way to audiences from Bulgaria and abroad.
Special guests at the opening will be popular chefs Nikola Simeonov, Desislava Trifonova and Iliyan Sabkov, known to television audiences from the cooking show Hell’s Kitchen.
They will take part in the culinary programme with live demonstrations and opportunities to meet the audience, transforming the Port of Burgas Passenger Terminal into an open-air kitchen.
They will be joined by popular television personalities. Participants include Marianna Alexandrova, known from MasterChef; Plamena Petrova from Like Two Drops of Water; and Ivelina Ivanova from The Bachelor.
Alongside its culinary offerings, the festival will also place a special emphasis on Bulgarian traditions. The folklore programme will be presented by the non-profit association Kamenovski Traditions, which will showcase local customs and the region’s folkloric heritage.
Visitors will be able to enjoy music, traditional performances and a varied festival programme celebrating Bulgarian identity and culture.
Iskren Petsov will host the official opening and the festival programme.
Following its stop in Burgas, The "Tastes of Bulgaria" festival will continue with events in Pomorie on 6 September and in Ruen on 7 September.
