66 scientific reports, 9 invited lecturers – distinguished scholars from all over the world, and over 50 present participants, incl. a large number of young scholars. This is a summary of the International Symposium on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BioInfoMed’2020) held in the period 8-10 October 2020 at the International Congress Center Burgas.

The main organizers of the forum were the University "Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov", the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering – BAS and the University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine “N.I. Pirogov”.

The BioInfoMed’2020 symposium was held in a hybrid online-presence model with a high level of scientific organization and strict adherence to safety and social distance measures.

The undeniable success of the forum is mainly due to the large number of quality research in the fields of biomedicine, human medicine, healthcare, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling, which were submitted for presentation by the Bulgarian and international scientific community.
