The Burgas Connectivity Forum 2026, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Bulgaria, will take place on 28 May 2026 at the International Congress Center Burgas, in the Foros Hall. The full-day event will run from 9:30 to 16:30 under the motto "Connecting Nations" . The conference is being held in Burgas for the fourth consecutive year and is part of the official program in Bulgaria under the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Since its launch in 2023, the Forum has established itself as an international platform for dialogue among representatives of politics, diplomacy, business, academia and civil society.
The 2026 edition will focus on the impact of geopolitical dynamics on connectivity in Southeast Europe. Particular emphasis will be placed on the need for strategic investment in infrastructure, energy projects and competitiveness as foundations for sustainable development and regional stability.
The Forum will highlight financial connectivity and economic competitiveness as key drivers of regional development amid global challenges. Connectivity is understood not only in terms of physical infrastructure, but also as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and innovation across sectors and regions. In this context, the Black Sea stands out as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia and a key factor in the development of Southeast Europe, regional cooperation and European integration.
The event's partners include the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, Burgas Municipality, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the German Eastern Business Association.
